Dear Dufferin Hi-Land BTC Members
We are reaching out to share the nominations process for the Dufferin Hi-Land Bruce Trail Club (DHBTC) Board of Directors.
Elections are held at the AGM where the membership votes to select directors to fill vacancies arising each year. In accordance with DHBTC By-laws, each new director is elected to serve a one-year term. This year 13 current members are standing for re-election.
Call for Nominations to the Board – Each spring we begin the process of filling vacancies arising on the Board, by considering director turnover and specific competencies needed to support the organization’s strategic and operational goals.
The Board is seeking candidates (with knowledge, experience or the willingness to learn) in the following areas:
- DEIB Director (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging)
- Marketing Director
- Membership Director
- Social/Event Director
- Trail Maintenance Coordinator
- Vice President
The DHBTC values and welcomes diversity on our Board of Directors and aims to be an accessible and inclusive community that honors, respects, and reflects the various ways people connect with the Bruce Trail and our organization.

2024 Annual Meeting- This year’s election will take place as part of the Dufferin Hi-Land BTC AGM, scheduled for Wednesday August 21st, 2024.
