Our Dufferin Hi-Land Hike: Sydenham Series continued on the weekend of September 13-15 with hikes to Inglis Falls, Boyd’s Crevices and the rock corridors of the East Linton Sideroad.
The days were hot but hikers appreciated being cooled by their proximity to the ancient rock. The crevices are so deep there that the winter ice remains until June.
It was a delight to be in the woods as the colours begin to change. The Fall wildflowers were vibrant, especially the blood red cardinal flower. Sandhill cranes flew noisily overhead and a porcupine met us along the trail.
