Location (Google Maps): Tosorontio Sideroad 17 at Concession Rd 2 (9 km south of Glencairn) Hike Leader(s): Frieda Baldwin; Jim Laking Pace: Leisurely  Terrain: Easy Distance: Flexible, Our generous host, Jim Laking, is inviting us to join him for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in a managed woodlot in Adjala/Tosorontio. Easy to challenging, you decide. Suitable for families. Marked trails for cross-country skiing. Bring a lunch. Heated cabin and outdoor wood stove for lunch stop and breaks.

Date: January 19, 2019, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM Moonlight Hike, Dufferin Hi-Land Winter Badge Hike #2 of 4
Location (Google Maps): Meet at 2nd Line EHS and 8 Sideroad (just north of km 23.9 Map 20) where the trail heads into the woods. From Orangeville, continue north on Hwy.10, through lights at Primrose (Hwy 89). Turn right at 5 Sideroad, left at 1st Line EHS, then right on 8 Sideroad, follow around the bend to meeting spot. Hike Leader(s): Bryan and Carol Foley Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate Distance: Approx 8 km., Be there by 6:15 pm to sign in, put snowshoes on etc. HIKE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 6:30 PM. Be careful of ditches when parking! Bring snowshoes, water, snacks, headlamp. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER!

Date: January 20, 2019, 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM Exploring Mono Cliffs Provincial Park
Location (Google Maps): Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, End of 1st Line EHS, south of 25 Sideroad (Map 19; km 7.9). From Hwy 10 approx 14km north of Orangeville, turn right on 25 Sideroad, right on 1st Line EHS, follow to end. Please turn around and park on east side of 1st Line Be careful of ditches when parking! Hike Leader(s): Bryan and Carol Foley Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate Distance: 10-12 km, We will explore Mono Cliffs Prov. Park as only it can be explored in winter. Directions; Bring snowshoes, water, lunch. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER!

Date: January 26, 2019, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM Dundas Valley Winter Waterfall Hike
Location (Google Maps): Iroquoia Section, Map 8. Meet at the upper end of the Ancaster Mill north side parking lot. From Hwy 403 going west up the escarpment past Hamilton, take Exit 64 following Mohawk/Rousseau road north. Turn right on Wilson St, continuing for 0.75 km  to the next traffic light. Turn left on Montgomery Dr, then another left on Old Dundas Road. The parking lot is on the right hand (north) side of the road, about 75 m past the Ancaster Mill. Hike Leader(s): Gilles Gagnon Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate, Slippery and Steep Sections Distance: 9 to 13 km, (weather/trail condition depending), We'll car pool to Tiffany Falls Side Trail (km 45.0), and hike back, taking in Canterbury, Sherman, and Tiffany Falls in their full winter glory. We'll then car pool to the north end of the valley, where we'll walk around Webster's Falls and hike down the side trail from Tews Falls to Sydenham Rd. Location (Google Maps): Nature Reserve parking lot, 500 m west of Bathurst Street, 400 m. north of Green Lane. Hike Leader(s): David Francis Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate Distance: 4 km, Loop Hike around this beautiful Nature Reserve. Bring icers.

Date: February 9, 2019, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Dufferin Hi-Land Winter Badge, Hike #3 of 4
Location (Google Maps): Dufferin Hi-Land, Map 21. Meet on Prince of Wales Rd near km 46.2 where the main trail turns east off of the road. Take Hwy 124 north from Shelburne for 15 km and turn right on Dufferin Road 21. Head east for 4 km and then right on Prince of Wales Rd. The meeting place is 1 km. ahead. Hike Leader(s): Les Babbage; Helen Bailey Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate, Slippery and Steep Sections Distance: 8 km, Snowshoe loop hike. This hike will take us to Black Bank and back. Pub stop to follow.

Date: February 16, 2019, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM Terra Cotta Snowshoe Hike
Location (Google Maps): Toronto Section, Map 14. Meet at Boston Mills Road where it dead ends, west of Mississauga Road (km 47.8) Hike Leader(s): Bob Slack Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate Distance: 6 km, This will be a loop hike westward from the meeting point, including the Rockside Side Trail.  The route and distance may be amended due to trail or weather conditions. Choose snowshoes or icers, depending on trail conditions.

Location (Google Maps): Dufferin Hi-Land Section, Map 19. Mono Cliffs Provincial Park Meet at end of 1st Line EHS, south of Sideroad 25 (km 7.9). From Orangeville go north on Hwy 10 for approx 14 km, right on 25th Sideroad, right on 1st Line EHS, follow to end. Please turn around and park on east side of 1st Line. Be careful of ditches when parking! Hike Leader(s): Bryan and Carol Foley Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate Distance: 8 km, Meet 6:15 to sign in, put snowshoes on. HIKE LEAVES PROMPTLY AT 6:30 PM! Location (Google Maps): Caledon Hills Section, Map 17. Meet at roadside parking on Coolihans Sideroad (km35.1). Drive south from Mono Mills (Hwy #9 and Airport Rd) for 3 km. Turn east onto Coolihans SR. and travel 1.1 km where the Bruce Trail crosses Coolihans SR. Hike Leader(s): David Francis Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate, Slippery Sections Likely Distance: 6 km, Loop Hike exploring the trails around the Tai Chi centre. Visit two Tai Temples. Some hills. Bring icers.

Location (Google Maps): Meet at 10:00am in Midland at Food Basics, or 10:45am at the entrance gate of Six Mile Lake Provincial Park Hike Leader(s): Frieda Baldwin Pace: Leisurely  Terrain: Easy Snowshoe hike. Bring lunch.

Date: March 9, 2019, 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM Crawford Lake
Location (Google Maps): Iriquoia Section, Map 11. Meet at Calcium Pits roadside parking (km 102.3) on Twiss Rd which is the first road west of Guelph Line between Conservation Road and Derry Road. Hike Leader(s): Pat Foley and Tristan Goguen Pace: Medium  Terrain: Moderate, Slippery Sections Likely Distance: 11 km, Loop hike. We will hike a loop on the Main Trail and Crawford Lake Side Trail, including a walk by the Crawford Lake Village and visitor centre. Bring lunch and snacks. Snowshoes or icers may be required. All welcome  including well-mannered dogs.

Location (Google Maps): Dufferin Hi-Land Section, Map 19. Meet at roadside parking at the end of 2nd Line EHS Mono, north of Mono Centre (km. 3.1). Hike Leader(s): Bob Slack Pace: Medium  Terrain: Easy Distance: 5 km, This is a loop hike with the possibility of varying the distance based on trail and weather conditions. Choose snowshoes or icers depending on trail conditions.

Location (Google Maps): Meet at 1:00pm in Midland at Food Basics, or 1:25pm in Laurin, Tiny Township at the corner of Cedar Point Road, and 18th Concession West Hike Leader(s): Frieda Baldwin Pace: Leisurely  Terrain: Easy Snowshoe hike.

Date: March 30, 2019, 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM Mulmur Hills/Walkers Woods
Location (Google Maps): Dufferin Hi-land Section, Map 20. Meet at Rockhill parking lot (km 28.6) on 1st Line EHS, just south of 10th Sideroad Mulmur, north of Hwy 89. Hike Leader(s): Pat Foley and Tristan Goguen Pace: Medium  Terrain: Strenuous, Slippery and Steep Sections Distance: 13 km, Loop hike. We will hike the Main Trail out then back on the Oliver Creek and Moss Haven Side Trails returning to the Main Trail and parking lot. This hike offers lots of hills, the Boyne River, and lots of old growth forests and pretty vistas! Bring lunch, snacks and adequate water. Snowshoes and/or icers may be required. Families, friends and well-mannered dogs welcome.

Date: April 6, 2019, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM QUADZILLA Series of 4 Hikes April 6, 13, 20, 27 Pre-Registration Required
Location (Google Maps): Caledon Section Map 18. Meet at parking lot on 5th Line EHS (km 53.3) just south of Hockley Road, west of Airport Road. Hike Leader(s): Tristan Goguen Pace: Brisk  Terrain: Strenuous, Slippery and Steep Sections Distance: 24 km, While we cover only 24 km at a moderate pace each day, this STRENUOUS terrain series covers many steep grades found along the Hockley Valley trails. The series is designed for experienced hikers wanting a head start to their season. Proper foot wear and clothing a must, early spring conditions can vary widely from week to week. Location (Google Maps): Meet in roadside parking on Castlederg Rd just west of the bridge. From Hwy 50, turn west on Castlederg Rd. for 2.1 km. Hike Leader(s): David Francis Pace: Medium  Terrain: Strenuous Distance: 6 km, We will explore the Heritage Trail along the Humber River in Caledon.
